Tiny Table Gallery

The Tiny Table Team from left to right: Johnny Doley, Kelly Johnston, Sophie Buchmueller, and Alice Matthews

Johnny Doley is one of the founding members and co-directors of Tiny Table Gallery.

Tiny Table Gallery began in the summer of 2022 as a collaborative project between myself, Sophie Buchmueller, Kelly Johnston, and Alice Matthews, while taking part in the Abakanowicz Fellowship at Mildred’s Lane. Since returning to Chicago, the project morphed into an artist-run exhibition venue that focuses on displaying small scale, three-dimensional work. The gallery “space” is a single salesman sample table that can easily travel between artists’ homes, outdoor parks, storefront windows, and anywhere that art should be. We strive to create a joyful, collaborative venue that affirms the importance of small art and provides a space for artists without the pressure of needing to fill an entire gallery.

We have curated exhibitions with performative events at Watershed Art and Ecology, Ohklahomo, the Chicago Athletic Association, and Comfort Station, among others. Below is a selection of images spanning our first three exhibitions. Visit our instagram @tinytablegallery for more.
